The private onsen experience was incredibly soothing and worth trying, offering a unique touch to our stay.

Our room was quite dated, with a bland decor and not very inviting atmosphere, which could use some modernization.

The hot spring provided an incredibly relaxing experience, making it a highlight of my stay. The peaceful atmosphere and effective foot massage added to the overall comfort of the hotel.

The hotel seems to be stuck in a time warp. the decor is outdated and could use a serious facelift. I experienced several issues, like a non-working air conditioning unit with a broken control panel, alongside a couple of light bulbs out in the room. The breakfast area felt cramped, almost like battling through rush hour on a subway. Plus, the outdoor onsen was smaller than expected. if you're hoping for a spacious soak, you might want to reconsider.

The location of Yumoto Fujiya is fantastic, just a short walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station. I especially enjoyed the hot spring. soaking in the onsen was incredibly relaxing after exploring the area. The outdoor wooden bath was a highlight for me. Staff members were always available and eager to help with any requests. However, the breakfast buffet felt quite crowded, and the food could use some improvement to match the hotel's otherwise high standard. Plus, I found the mattresses a bit hard, which made sleeping less comfortable than I had hoped. A little more attention to the dining experience could elevate the stay significantly.
